We present a triple bill of roots, alt.folk and Americana
Loud Mountains are an Americana outfit formed by American brothers Kevin and Sean Duggan. Originally from Woodbury, Connecticut, the duo settled in Oxford and recently signed to the leading Americana label, Clubhouse Records.
They are known for their harmonies, plenty of volume, and more pop- hooks than you could shake a stick at and have supported the likes of Danny and The Champions of World and Cale Tyson, along with performing at this year’s Americana Music Association (AMAUK) Showcase.
The August List are a boy / girl two-piece who play backwards country / porch folk with a startling rock ‘n’ roll attitude.
Acoustic guitars, kick drums, harmonicas, found instruments and their voices are deployed with verve and passion on songs concerning the frailty of human existence, the awesomeness of nature and other fun things.
Wes Finch’s musical style feels rooted in folk but has the ambition and sophistication of pop. His live shows are engaging, energetic and intimate and over the last few years he’s shared stages with the likes of Billy Bragg, Martin Carthy, Richard Thompson and Lucy Ward at various venues, folk clubs and festivals.
