Curse of Lono

Acclaimed Gothic-rock / Americana five-piece Curse of Lono return to Fat Lil’s after their well received support slot with Uncle Lucius in 2016.

Founded and fronted by Felix Bechtolsheimer, formerly the singer-guitarist in British roots pioneers Hey Negrita, Curse of Lono formed in early 2015.

Their debut album Severed came out this year to rave reviews (“Exile On Main Street meets William Faulkner.” Classic Rock) and following 3 consecutive sold out gigs in London and performances at The Great Escape, Camden Rocks, Isle Of Wight, Maverick, Wychwood, Summer Tyne, Standon Calling and Y Not festivals, the band have spent the autumn touring the UK and Europe with Chuck Prophet and Low Cut Connie.

“If dangerous living bothers you, look away now – but for everyone else, Curse Of Lono are a new beacon of darkness.” MOJO

Jamie Cameron and Luke Hayden started The Last Dinosaur in 2006 after a bout of severe friendship. Shortly afterwards Rachel Lanskey joined and late night experimenting on a multi-track recorder produced the recordings that would eventually become 2010's Hooray! For Happiness, an album that The Line of Best Fit called "One of the most refreshing, creative and inventive records of the year". Shortly before Hooray! For Happiness was released Jamie began work on follow up The Nothing, a collection of songs about mortality and coming to come to terms with the loss of close friend James MacDonald after a severe car accident that happened during his teenage years. After seven years in the works the album was finally released in the summer of 2017 by Naim Records to critical acclaim. 'An extended meditation on life, death and memory' **** The Independent 'To say this is one of the best albums of 2017 doesn't do it justice' 91% Sound & Silence The Cambridge based band's haunting and evocative songs are reminiscent of Nick Drake, The Leisure Society and Sun Kil Moon. With support from singer/songwriter Sam Martin £9 on the door
